In 1975, John Maultsby, our founder, wrote programs for Job Costing and Accounting for his own construction company. This software was marketed from 1975 through 1981 by IBM and the ongoing support and enhancement of these programs became the start of Constructive Computing. Our company goal is to provide the finest construction industry software available for IBM compatible personal computers. We were in a unique position during the development of the software because we were a contractor, using the software daily. After installing and supporting over 10,000 installations throughout the United States and Canada we are committed to providing comprehensive solutions for construction accounting and estimating.
We are not just programmers writing software for contractors. Our support and development staff have all been active in construction and understand your problems and needs. Therefore, when we provide training, on-site installation, and product support our emphasis is on construction management rather than computers.
Our product development continues on a daily basis. We are working on the next generation of our systems that will insure your investment in our products. We strive to provide maximum flexibility in all of our products, supporting the latest tools and computer operating systems. For example, we are now working to incorporate the latest in Direct Payment/Deposit (Automated Clearing House) and eCommerce methodology (using the emerging aecXML Standard) into our systems. Also, new major release (Version IV) is a true Client/Server system based upon Microsoft SQL Server technology with either local and/or internet user interfaces.
Our upgrade policy is the most liberal in the business. We believe that customers who have remained on a Maintenance Plan and whose continuous support has helped us develop our new improved version of a product, should be rewarded.
